Welcome!

You've stumbled across the introductory post on the Prairie Rim Road blog.  Here, you'll read about all kinds of vehicles, generally tending toward repairs, maintenance, and upgrades.  Our current stable includes a couple Jeeps, a Tahoe, a pop-up camper, and numerous bicycles, although anything that hits the road is fair game in this blog.

I'm a died-in-the wool engineer and tinkerer.  I fix things.  I bought my first Jeep over 15 years ago, and since then have learned to do pretty much everything on it myself, from changing the oil to rebuilding engines and fabricating custom suspensions.  Many of my Jeep exploits can be found at Jedi.com, my site primarily dedicated to four wheeling.

I love the smell of gear oil in the morning.  It smells like... victory.

Be sure to check out the other Prairie Rim blogs for related (or not) topics:

Who are we?  We're Ben & Stacy Hollingsworth.  We share posting duties here at Prairie Rim, although I'll probably doing most of the vehicle posts myself.  We're not experts on everything here, although I suppose we are on some things.  Mostly, we just like to share what we do know to help whoever we can.

Be sure to check in often.  We really value feedback from our readers, so please voice your thoughts in the comments at the bottom of each post.
